HSBC harrasses us 15 times a day during grace period.
Apr 23, 2008
HSBC AUTO FINANCE complaint by Hatebadservice
I understand what HSBC means: Horrible Service Bestowed on our Customers. The account for the auto loan is under my wifes name only. We have never been 30 days late on our auto loan payments. There is a 10 day grace period yet despite this, if we don't pay on the due date, they call each phone line 10-15 times a day demanding payment--which is embarrassing at work. They have hung up on me repeatedly when I tell them I want to post payment, which makes little sense. Money is money regardless of who it comes from. Oddly enough, my understanding is that in Illinois, where we reside, they charge a third party for processing fees which I have heard is illegal in this state. More interesting is that some of the reps have spoken to me at length even though I don't have authorization to discuss the account with them, which is illegal in IL. I hate their harrassment, I hate when the hang up on us when we do answer and told them I would hate to see what they do to customers who are 30,60,90 days late. Send a team of thugs to the customers house? What's funny is their on hold recording claiming award winning cust svc. What award, the "Treat our Customers Like Sh_t Award?" Yep, they won that one hands down!

Here's a sloution change your due date. It is possible. Take half of the payment out on one check and the other half next.

here is an idea pay your bill on time, a grace period means you wont receive any late charges, not that you have 15 days too pay late, you are still past due even if it is 1 day late.
